Switzerland add 3 new generic statements

Switzerland has added several new substances as directory E substances. It has also added 3 new generic statements controlling chemical space for Phenylalkylamine derivatives, Desnitazen derivatives and Orphine derivatives

Phenylalkylamine : Any substance (excluding controlled substances in Schedules a, b, d and f) whose structure is derived from phenethylamine provided : – phenyl ring is unsubstituted or substituted to any extent with alkyl, alkoxy, alkylenedioxy, halogen or hydroxy substituents, whether or not further substituted in the ring by one or more other univalent substituents – the nitrogen atom of the amino group is unsubstituted or substituted with one or more alkyl or benzyl groups, regardless of whether the benzyl group is substituted or not – The alkyl chain at position R1 is unsubstituted or substituted by an alkyl group;

 

Desnitazen derivatives : Any substance (excluding controlled substances of Schedules a, b, d and f) whose structure is derived from desnitazene provided : – unsubstituted or substituted in any way and to any extent at the phenyl ring (R1) and at the phenyl ring of the benzimidazole (R2 ) ; – the nitrogen of the amine group can be unsubstituted or substituted to any extent with alkyl groups (R3 and R4) .

Orphine derivatives: (Piperidylbenzimidazolon e - Derivate) Any substance (excluding controlled substances in Schedules a, b, d and f) whose structure is derived from orphin e provided : – unsubstituted or substituted in any way and to any extent with alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, halogen, hydroxy or nitro groups on the phenyl ring (R1), on the benzimidazole structure (R2, R3) or on the piperidinyl ring (R4).
